Spring has Sprung but...

...where am I? Sick as a dog:-(

There is nothing worse than having a gorgeous day outside and being stuck inside because you have been sick all week. No fun:-(

I am so frustrated with my health. Everytime I have a good workout routine going, literally every 30 days, I get sick....without fail!!! Any ideas on how to break the cycle?

  1. Yes, yes, yes! I have a suggestion that has REALLY helped me. I used to get colds fairly frequently but since last May I've had just 2 and they weren't too bad either (sometimes I am hit really hard). I use the NeilMed Sinus Rinse which is similar to a NetiPot (but I find the sinus rinse easier to use). Perhaps you've heard of them and/or used them before. They are really annoying (and pretty gross, frankly) to use on a regular basis - it requires fitting it into your regular routine - but I am telling you, they REALLY help with allergies and preventing illness. (They were even cited as being a great preventative of the H1N1 flu this past year.) I use mine every other night before I go to bed and it seems to keep me pretty healthy and my allergy symptoms are much improved. You can also use them during illness as long as your nose isn't completely stuffed up and it seems to shorten the duration of illness. I was sick about a month ago and had the cold for only 3 days. That NEVER happens to me - it normally lasts at least a week. This past year, I've been raving about the sinus rinse to all of my friends and family members - can't recommend it enough!
